Overview

From 19 to 22 August 2026, Wikingerland Haddeby once again becomes a hub for rock, metal and German rock. Baltic Open Air (BOA) is one of the year’s northernmost rock spectacles, inviting fans from across Europe to celebrate music, community and Nordic tradition under the motto “Rock like the Vikings.”

Two stages structure the bill: the Valhalla Stage carries the main line-up, while the Viking Stage adds warm-ups, contests and further acts. The first shows already kick off on Wednesday — camping and early arrival are part of the full Königshügel experience.

What makes it special

BOA is more than a bill: an authentic Viking village brings crafts, activities and Nordic atmosphere. Add a Ferris wheel, the VIP Halla for comfort and sightlines, and a cashless pay system so food, mead and merch work with cash or card.

On the Viking Stage you’ll also find festival staples: a canned-drink stacking contest, a wet shirt contest, and on Saturday a church service — including the first official BOA wedding. Practical extras include TruckLock lockers with charging (bookable online). ROCK ANTENNE Hamburg is the official radio partner for 2026.
